Relax with Tea

dscn1630I was unaware that #StressAwarenessDay was November 2.  Now I know and wanted to share it with you.  I’ll try not to stress out over being a couple of days late with the news.  I’ll just call it being 363 days early for next year!

The International Stress Management Association (I wonder if they throw fun parties?) created Stress Awareness Day as a way to get us to start looking after ourselves and break down the individual stressors in our lives. Failure to deal with stress can lead to serious health problems, including increased blood pressure, susceptibility to heart disease, and a weakened immune system.

This article gives great tips on ways to reduce stress: https://uk.style.yahoo.com/stop-feeling-stressed-according-science-173000127.html.  Note the last tip – “Become A Tea Drinker.”

One reason may be the relaxing effect of L-theanine contained in tea.  Click here if you’d like to read our previous post about L-theanine.

Cheers!
