I love some light reading on occasion and some of my favorite books are the Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs. The stories are set in Charleston, SC and focus on the fictional Indigo Tea Shop. The books are mostly G-rated and are easy to read but along the way you get an education about all aspects of tea from brewing, tasting, food pairing and history. The author really goes into detail and I learned quite a bit myself. The books include recipes and tea party ideas in the back and the later books include reference sources for tea publications, websites and blogs, and online tea stores. They are just delightful to a real tea afficianado.
