Three course afternoon tea

If you’re wondering what to serve at your next afternoon tea here’s the traditional fare but creativity is always appreciated!

1st Course:  Savories – Typically small, delicate finger sandwiches such as cucumber, watercress, tomato and chicken salad.

2nd Course:  Scones – often with clotted cream, jams and/or lemon curd.

3rd Course:  Sweets.  Self explanatory.

Traditionally served on a three tiered serving tray which can be delicate and beautiful but also space saving on a small table.  The sandwiches go on the bottom level and you work your way up in order.  Enjoy your tea with a delicious snack that should tide you and your friends over till dinner.  Yum!
