Tea & the Garden

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose, I would always greet it in a garden. – Ruth Stout

It’s gardening time again, kids.  Gardening and tea seem to go together as both are beneficial to your health and rejuvenating to your spirit.

You can take your tea out to the garden for a peaceful sip and, when you’re done, you can actually use the tea leaves in the garden.  You can put your used tea leaves in your compost or you can put them directly on your garden soil.  As organic matter the tea leaves are good soil amendments.  Another benefit is that caffeine is reported to keep slugs and snails away.

So enjoy your tea in the garden or on the garden!

Cheers!
