St. Patrick’s Day Teapot

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.  Let’s celebrate with my little Shamrock teapot.  It’s even more special because it was a gift from a friend who went to Ireland and was (and is) so thoughtful.

It’s very fine bone china.  You can tell because you can see the light shining through it and when you take the lid off you hear a “chime.”  It is Erin China made in Carrigaline, County Cork, Ireland.

Just the perfect teapot to serve Irish Breakfast Tea, don’t you think?

Here are five favorite Irish sayings to ponder while you’re sipping your tea:

  • If you’re enough lucky to be Irish… You’re lucky enough!
  • If you buy what you don’t need you might have to sell what you do.
  • May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.
  • You’ve got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your father was.
  • May you live to be 100 years, with one extra year to repent.

Cheers!

    • I did too! I’m working on my 100 years now so I’ll have something to repent! 🙂
