I just have to share my morning with you. Get ready for lots of adjectives!
It was a beautiful morning on the back patio. I had a pot of Apple Crumble Tea from Steeped Teas. It’s a nice, strong tea with real dried apple pieces and cinnamon. Good for the morning.
We had an unusual cool summer breeze this morning so I sat outside for quite awhile enjoying myself, breathing in the light grape smell of the fluffy, hot pink crepe myrtle blooms. Crepe myrtles just love the Alabama heat. The tiny pink blossoms floated down on me, the table and all over the bricks. Honey bees with fat orange legs were working hard on the clusters of flowers.
It was a noisy morning with the cicadas buzzing, the Titmouse fussing, Cardinal chirping, the Carolina Wren whirring and the Mockingbird going through his full repertoire. I love the sounds of summer!
My husband filled the feeders for me. The birds appreciated his efforts and ate up. I watched them, read a couple of chapters of my book with the wonderdogs at my feet.
The flowers in my field of view are in full bloom: black-eyed susans, coreopsis, vinca, rose of sharons, tiger lilies, even the roses are still throwing off some blooms. The trumpet vine is busy taking over the back fence, which is fine.
All-in-all a morning worth sharing.
