Exciting news tea lovers! The 2020 International Tea Festival, an annual event normally held in Chicago, is now a virtual event. If you couldn’t attend before due to travel or time constraints, this may be your chance!
It will be held Saturday, November 7 & Sunday, November 8. There will be a virtual vendor floor, livestream presentations, some pre-recorded classes and some free and also pay to attend classes. Class topics include:
- Tea & health
- Several tea tastings (sign up by the deadline of Oct. 9 so they can ship the tea to you)
- Tea blending
- Hosting a tea party
- Cooking with tea
- Grower talks: from India, China, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Mississippi!
- and my favorite, tea cocktails!
It looks like there will be something for everyone. Beginners who want to learn more about tea will have a fun time exploring. If you’re an experienced tea sipper, I don’t doubt there will be something new you haven’t seen before.
General Admission Pass (Free): Register to have access to the event, vendors, and free classes. Can purchase additional classes.
Tea Lover Pass ($25): Everything thing from General Admission Pass + swag box shipped to you with porcelain tasting cup, samples of teas/goodies. Access to some pre-recorded content, livestream main room presentations. Ability to all purchase pay-per classes with no shipping fees for additional materials sent by festival.
