It seems like the Camellias just faded and now the Lenten Roses are in bloom. Also known as Helleborus Orientalis, these graceful flowers are the link between winter and spring. The beautiful, cold-loving flowers generally come at Lent – hence the name. But, not having a calendar, the flowers are a bit early. Lent starts February 10th this year. Regardless, I’m happy to see them.
