Cheers to Downton Abbey

I’m afraid we must say goodbye to Downton Abbey since today is the final episode.  There, there.  Don’t cry in your cup.

I expect there will be lots of Downton Abbey tea parties held today to properly bid farewell to the spectacular series.  One of our favorite characters was

VIOLET, DOWAGER COUNTESS OF GRANTHAM
“Oh, just the ticket. Nanny always said, ‘Sweet tea is the thing for frayed nerves.’ Though why it has to be sweet, I couldn’t tell you.”
